Hi, I'm Daz.
The RadioVoice Skills Building Program was originally developed specifically for the disability sector, offering a chance for those students to learn the basics of the radio industry. However, the program has expanded quickly and now offers people with all abilities the opportunity to learn podcasting, a growth medium and one that comes with challenges and a heap of rewards...if guided correctly!
A little about me.
I've been involved with radio for over 30 years, either in an on-air capacity hosting breakfast and drive programs on commercial and community stations; script-writing
commercials; doing voiceover work; or selling radio advertising for the stations I've worked for. So radio, and broadcasting, is in my blood. I currently co-host the
Cindy & Daz Breakfast Show; I'm a qualified trainer (Cert IV Assessment & Workplace Training), hold a Working With Children Check, and have over 30 years experience leading, coaching and mentoring individuals and large teams.
Having also the privilege of working with people within the disability sector, I observed a gap in the market where the basics of the radio industry could be taught. It's
such a rewarding experience and one that provides enormous value to the lives of people who would not normally have the opportunity to experience the excitement
of radio, media or podcasting.
That's me. Catch ya on the airwaves (Friday mornings, remember)!
